As Jesus Is, So Are We

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.1 John 4:17

- JUNE 23 -
AS JESUS IS TODAY, SO ARE YOU!

It is wonderful to know that God does not measure and judge you based on your performance today. Instead, He looks at Jesus, and as Jesus is, that is how He sees you. His Word declares that “love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”

As new covenant believers, we do not have to fear the day of judgment simply because all our sins have been completely judged at the cross, and as Jesus is, so are we! Notice that it does not say that “as Jesus was on earth, so are we in this world.” That would have been amazing enough because during Jesus’ ministry on earth, healing, blessings and abundance followed Him everywhere He went.

Yet, that is not what the Word says. What it says is, “as Jesus is” (notice the use of the present tense). In other words, as He is right now, so are we in this world.

What a powerful revelation! Just consider where Jesus is today. The Bible tells us:

He [God] raised Him [Jesus] from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

—Ephesians 1:20–23

Jesus is seated at the Father’s right hand today, in a position of power and authority. If I were you, I would take some time to meditate on this passage because the Bible tells us that as Jesus is, so are we right now, in this world.

Meditate on how as Jesus is “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named,” so are we! See it in God’s Word for yourself. See yourself as Jesus is, far above every principality and power, far above every disease and physical condition, far above every kind of fear, depression and addiction, and begin to reign over every negative situation in your life today!

Never Mix Law and Grace

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?Galatians 3:1–3

- JUNE 22 -
NEVER MIX LAW AND GRACE

Do you know why many believers today have a confused perspective of God? For example, many believers think that God is sometimes angry with them, but at other times pleased with them.

And while they would personally never hurt their own children this way, many believers today think that their heavenly Father would actually punish them with sicknesses and diseases. What accounts for this apparent “schizophrenia” that exists in the body of Christ today?

The answer lies in a mixture of covenants (or “Galatianism”) that is prevalent in the church of Jesus Christ. During Paul’s day, the church in Galatia was struggling with this intermingling of teachings about God that contains a little bit of the law as well as a little bit of grace—a mixture of covenants. From the severity of Apostle Paul’s tone to the Galatians, it is obvious that Paul regarded this issue very seriously.

You might expect Paul to be more upset with the believers in Corinth, who were involved in all kinds of public sins and immoral activities, but he was not. His intense reaction toward the church in Galatia reveals what is of priority to God. It is clear that in God’s eyes, believing the wrong doctrine is worse than exhibiting wrong behavior!

When it came to wrong behavior in Corinth, Paul was cool and collected toward the believers. He was able to handle their wrong behavior because he knew that the grace of God was able to take care of their spree of wrong behavior. That is why he was able to speak positively to them, even telling them, “I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus” (1 Cor. 1:4). But when it came to wrong doctrine in Galatia, he rebuked the believers there because they nullified God’s grace by mixing it with the law.

In the very first chapter of Galatians, Paul says, “I marvel . . .” or as you and I would say today, “I am appalled . . .” What appalled him? Paul continues, “. . . that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ” (Gal. 1:6–7).

Paul had preached the gospel of grace to the Galatians, but he found that there were Judaizers who introduced elements of the law to them. They mixed God’s grace with the law, causing the Galatians to turn away from the pure grace of Christ. They said, “Yes, it’s good that you are saved by grace, but it’s not enough for you to just have Jesus. You must also know and abide by the law of Moses and be circumcised to be pleasing to God.”

This mixture of law and grace angered Paul. You see, if you have wrong behavior, as long as there is grace in the church, grace will teach and give you the power to overcome your wrong behavior. But if there is no grace in the church, or if grace is mixed with the law and nullified, then what hope is there for overcoming your wrong behavior?

Beloved, wrongly believing a mixture of law and grace leads you down a path of defeat and will keep you trapped in paralyzing captivity. Right believing in the pure, unmixed gospel of grace, on the other hand, is the door out of this vicious cycle of defeat and bondage.

Today, begin to believe right by choosing to know and believe in the true gospel of grace. Believe that Jesus’ finished work has cleansed and forgiven you, and made you righteous with His own righteousness in the eyes of Almighty God. I pray that as you turn to the person of Jesus who has saved you to the uttermost by His sacrifice on the cross, you will begin to experience your breakthrough and lasting victory!

No Weapon

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD.Isaiah 54:17

- JUNE 21 -
NO WEAPON SHALL PROSPER AGAINST YOU

A life that is founded upon the gospel of Jesus Christ is unshakable. When you build your life upon the gospel, you are building on a strong foundation that will give you stability and the power of God for lasting breakthroughs (Rom. 1:16).

You may be going through an extremely difficult season right now. Perhaps you are reading this and you have just received a negative medical report, or maybe you are surrounded by some challenging circumstances at your place of employment. I want to encourage you to say this by faith: “I am too blessed to be stressed.”

Now invite our Lord Jesus into your situation. Involve Him in your area of need. Whether it is a healing, provision, or relationship breakthrough that you need, see and believe that the Lord is with you.

My dear friend, don’t put your trust in your own understanding. Instead, lean wholly on the one Who is more interested in your success than you are. The book of Proverbs tells us, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Prov. 18:10). Run to Him and cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.

Speak with me this promise of God found in today’s scripture into your situation right now:
“ ‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,’ says the Lord.” Amen and Amen!

Meditate on the last line of this powerful scripture. In the new covenant of grace, your righteousness is from the Lord Jesus Himself. Now, the more you understand your righteousness in Christ, the more you will experience His promise in today’s scripture.

The opposite holds true. When God’s people are not established in their righteous identity in Christ, they become susceptible to the weapons of the enemy. Weapons such as sickness, lack, guilt, condemnation, fear, depression, and all kinds of disorders and addictions.

That is why it is so important to be sure that you are listening to the real gospel. God’s Word proclaims that none of these weapons, even if they have already been formed, shall prevail against you. And every unfounded accusation, every malicious lie, and every false allegation you shall condemn! The enemy doesn’t have a hold over your life. God does, and He holds it together!

Practice His Presence

But the LORD is with me as a mighty, awesome One. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail.Jeremiah 20:11

- JUNE 17 -
PRACTICE JESUS’ PRESENCE AND SEE HIS POWER

Do you know that the best time to thank Jesus for His presence is when you don’t “feel” His presence? When it comes to the presence of Jesus, don’t go by your feelings. Feelings can be deceptive. Go by His promise that He is Immanuel—God with us!

Have you heard the story of a groom who approached his pastor almost immediately after his wedding ceremony? He went up to his pastor and said, “Pastor, can I talk to you for a second?”

“Sure,” the pastor replied.

The groom said, “You know what, I don’t feel married.”

The pastor grabbed him by the collar and growled, “Listen, boy. You ARE married whether you feel it or not, understand? Just take it by faith that you are married!”

You see, my friend, you can’t go by your feelings. You go by the truth and the truth is this: God promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So the best time to practice His presence is precisely when you feel like Jesus is 100,000 miles away. Remember that feelings aren’t based on truth. God’s Word is truth!

Soon after I graduated from high school, I took on a part-time job to teach in an elementary school where I was placed in charge of a class of 10-year-olds. I remember one day, when I was practicing His presence, I knelt down in my living room and prayed, “Lord, I just thank You that You are always with me.” As I was on my knees, the Lord told me to pray specifically for one of the girls in my class who had been absent from school that day.

Now, it is very common for kids to miss class now and then for various reasons, and I had never been led by the Lord to pray specifically for any of them. This girl was the first! The Lord told me very clearly to pray for His protection to be over this girl and to cover her with His precious blood.

The next day, there was a big commotion in the school and I found out that the girl had been kidnapped by a notorious serial killer that very afternoon when the Lord had told me to pray for her. The killer, Adrian Lim, had kidnapped several children to be offered up as sacrifices to the devil. He believed that Satan would give him power when he offered the blood of these children to him.

Over the next couple of days, this girl from my class was all over our national media because she had been miraculously released. Sadly, she was the only girl released. All the other kidnapped children had been brutally murdered.

When she returned to class, I asked her how she came to be freed. She told me that her kidnapper was “praying” over her when suddenly he stopped and told her, “The gods do not want you.” She was quickly released that evening. Of course, you and I know why the “gods” didn’t want her—she was covered and protected by Jesus’ blood!

Listen to what I am saying here. In America today and around the world, the devil is trying to destroy a new generation because he is afraid that the young people of the new millennium are going to take over the world for Jesus. That is why we have to cover our children with Jesus’ protection.

I am sharing all this with you because I want you to see the importance and power of practicing His presence. As a teacher during that time, my class was my responsibility, just like my congregation is my responsibility today.

Think with me: How in the world, with my finite knowledge and intelligence, could I have known that one of my students was in grave danger? It is not possible! But because the Lord, who knows all things, was with me, He enabled me to make a difference in my student’s life.

Similarly, whatever role or vocation you are in, whether you are a schoolteacher, business leader, or homemaker, I want you to know that Jesus is with you and He wants to make you a success. Now, remember, all this happened to me before I became a full-time pastor, so please don’t think that this unmerited favor from Jesus is only for pastors. Beloved, His unmerited favor is for you. The Lord Immanuel is with you.

Find Rest in the Father's Love

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.Isaiah 54:10 NIV

- JUNE 16 -
FIND REST IN THE FATHER’S LOVE

Today, I want to share one simple but critical truth with you. Memorize this truth. Feed on it. Let it take root in your spirit and become an anchor in your life.

You will never be the same again. Are you ready? Here it goes:

As a child of God, no matter what happens in your life, your Father in heaven loves you dearly and nothing you do can ever change that.

Will you believe that today? Whether you are going through good times or facing challenging times, you need to know that your Abba loves you.

There is nothing that you can ever do to make Him love you more, and nothing that you can ever do to make Him love you less. Even—or perhaps especially—when you feel like you have failed, know that you will always be the apple of His eye. Always.

God loves you with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3). A love that is the same yesterday, today, forever. Feel your Daddy God enfolding you in His embrace right now. You are safe. You are utterly loved and completely accepted.

He loved you before you ever knew Him. His love for you has nothing to do with anything that you have done for Him. Nothing you do will ever affect His unwavering, unconditional love for you.

There is nothing for you to prove. You only need to rest and receive your Abba’s love. Let your life become established and grounded in a love that is so perfect that no challenge or adversity will be able to knock you down.

If you think that you’ve messed up, turn to your Father. In His loving arms you will find hope, security, and refuge from any storm.

I love how the apostle Paul puts it: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? . . . Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:35, 37–39).

Beloved, there are no caveats or disclaimers when it comes to the love of your heavenly Father. The Bible plainly states that nothing shall be able to separate you from the love of your Father in heaven.

It’s an absolute declaration and promise. “Nothing” means nothing. As a believer, this means that even your mistakes, failings, and sins cannot separate you from the love of your Father. Hallelujah!

The King Came Down

“ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”Luke 19:38

- JUNE 15 -
THE KING CAME DOWN

When Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount, He said, “Love your enemies” (Matt. 5:44). Today we have problems loving our neighbors, let alone our enemies.

Jesus also said, “If your right eye offends you, pluck it out, throw it away from you. If your hand offends you, cut it off” (Matt. 5:29–30). Have you seen anyone who’s fighting for the law do that? Have you seen any church practice that? Come on, that church would look like a huge amputation ward!

So what was Jesus doing when He said those things?

Jesus was bringing the law back to its pristine standard, as the Pharisees had brought it down to where it was humanly possible to keep. For example, the Pharisees thought that unless you physically commit adultery, you have not sinned, but Jesus said that if you look at a woman to lust, you have already committed adultery with her (Matt. 5:28).

Jesus demonstrated to those who boasted of their law keeping that it was impossible for man to be justified by the law. He also said that the moment you are angry with a brother in your heart, you have committed murder (Matt. 5:22)! You see, Jesus’ definitive and impeccable interpretation of God’s holy laws brings man to the end of himself so that he will see his need for the Savior.

Now, I want you to catch a beautiful picture of God’s grace: the good news is that Jesus didn’t stop there. He preached the Sermon on the Mount and then He came down. Spiritually speaking, if the King had stayed on the mountain, there would have been no redemption for us.

Are you getting this? If Jesus had stayed high up in heaven and decreed God’s holy standards from there, there would have been no hope and no redemption for us. But all praise and glory to the King Who chose to come down from heaven to this earth! He came down the mountain. He came down into suffering, crying, and dying humanity.

At the foot of the mountain we see how He met a man with leprosy, a picture of you and me before we were washed clean by His precious blood. Imagine: an unclean sinner, standing before the King of kings. There was no way the standards of the Sermon on the Mount could have saved him. There was no way the pristine and perfect standards of God’s holy commandments could have saved us. The King knew that and that’s why He came down to where we were.

In those days, people with leprosy were considered unclean and wherever they went they had to shout, “Unclean! Unclean!” (Lev. 13:45) so people would know to run the other way lest they became defiled by the disease. Needless to say, those with leprosy were not welcomed in public places. Yet here the man with leprosy was before the King saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean” (Matt. 8:2). Notice he didn’t doubt that Jesus could; he doubted that Jesus would.

Without a moment’s hesitation, our Lord Jesus reached out and touched the afflicted man, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (Matt. 8:3).

Now watch this: under the law those with leprosy—the unclean—make the clean unclean. But under grace Jesus makes the unclean clean. Under the law, sin is contagious. Under grace, righteousness and God’s goodness are contagious!

Notes from Amir

Shalom from Northern Israel!

Happy Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) to Israel, and Happy Birthday to the Church! One of my favorite aspects of these annual feasts in Israel is the reminder that they’re only the shadow of what was and what is to come. Yes, the celebrations are something to look forward to. Yes, I enjoy the fact that they distinguish the Jews as a people with a unique relationship with the Lord. But most of all, I love that they point to the substance – Messiah Jesus.

Colossians 2:16-17
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Sadly, this year’s Shavuot celebration was met with hundreds of rockets being fired over our northern border via Hezbollah. Anymore, we basically anticipate our terrorist neighbors will ramp up their attacks during Jewish holidays. God is good. My family is safe. And while I know our military is prepared to deal with this issue, I’m not looking horizontally for my hope.

Psalm 20:7
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

The Middle East

Hamas & Gaza
You likely know by now that God delivered in a massive way just days ago when four Israeli hostages were rescued alive at the conclusion of an amazing operation carried out by the IDF. Andrey Kozolov, Noa Argamani, Almog Meir, Shlomi Ziv were all rescued as a result of a joint operation by the IDF, Shin Bet, and Yamam (the anti-terror unit of the police). This operation had been in the making for weeks! They were able to rescue four hostages and kill terrorists at the same time. This operation consisted of many moving parts, as well as a host of explosions. The Gazans, including the terrorists, were shocked. The US was even involved in providing intel to make this mission a success. You can learn more about this incredible event in my Breaking News segment.

However, this did not come without the tragic news of the loss of Captain Arnon Zamora – the team commander of the anti-terror unit – who sacrificed his life to bring them home. He will never be forgotten. He was the first person through the door where the hostages were being held. This operation has since been renamed, “Operation Arnon”. Am Yisrael Chai! This means, “The people of Israel live!”

In what’s not a surprise, Hamas has increased its phycological warfare ever since, threatening to make the living conditions of the other hostages even worse. We’re not finished. As Netanyahu said, our troops are going to bring everyone home. Given that Hamas rejected our most recent offer, we’re here to stay. By the way, the leader of Hamas even voiced that he believes civilian deaths are “necessary sacrifices”. He believes Gazans need to die. Israel is trying to spare as many as possible.

As the IDF continues to purge this lump of evil called Hamas from our midst, the depravity of these animals seems to be bottomless. Aside from the other grotesque things I’ve shared, the IDF is finding terror tunnel shafts in bedrooms belonging to girls. This is how these cowards operate. On a positive note, the IDF has seized full control of Philadelphi Axis and reached the Mediterranean Sea near Rafah. Hamas is now cut off from all sides. Now we have to purge them from the main city that’s dozens of feet underground. That said, nearly 40% of Rafah is now in our hands, but not at the cost of nothing. Tragically, an explosive-rigged building collapsed on Monday, resulting in the deaths and injuries of IDF soldiers.

Our military remains active in Judea & Samaria on a daily basis as well. These terrorists are everywhere.

Hezbollah & Lebanon
Throughout Northern Israel, including the Golan region, rocket attacks coming from Hezbollah in Lebanon are basically a daily occurrence. We’re dealing with them at an increasing rate. Israel is continuing to strike throughout Southern Lebanon. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – War is imminent. Rockets and drones are constantly being intercepted in our airspace. That said, in the last couple of days, we’ve eliminated some key Hezbollah leaders.

As of today, it’s war in Northern Israel. Rockets are nonstop and civilian areas are being targeted by the minute.

I’m torn between wanting us to strike back at Hezbollah right NOW and knowing the reason why we shouldn’t do it a minute before it’s the exact right time. In times of war, one must think from the head and not from the stomach. In times of war, one must exercise composure and not impulsivity. In times like these, I pray even harder for our prime minister and his war cabinet members who don’t have the luxury other politicians have to make empty promises and hollow threats. I also know the importance of the verse:

כִּי בְתַחְבֻּלוֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה לְּךָ מִלְחָמָה וּתְשׁוּעָה בְּרֹב יוֹעֵץ.

Proverbs 24:6
For by wise counsel you will wage your own war,
And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

The United States
Sadly, the White House continues to undermine our government. Biden’s puppet inside Israel’s war cabinet - Benny Gantz - is leaving the government at the order of the White House and the State Department in an attempt to topple Netanyahu. In response, Netanyahu said, “Israel is in an existential war on several fronts. Benny, this is not the time to abandon the campaign. This is the time to unite the forces. My door will remain open to any Zionist party that is ready to help bring victory over our enemies.”

Foolishly, the US is providing another $400 million in aid to the Palestinians.

From the Heart of an Israeli
My social media feeds are exploding with what appears to be God-fearing and Jesus-loving individuals who are attending some major conservative events. In my attempt to understand who some of them are, I often go to their social media profiles and see what they write and who they spend their time with. To my shock and astonishment in so many cases, I see that many antisemitic people are found on those profiles. Why am I embarrassed and sad? Here I am trying to explain to broken-hearted and devastated Israelis that their best friends are neither politicians nor the progressive media, but rather, the people of God. The Church! The real Church!

Remember, not all conservatives are Spirit-filled, born-again believers. In fact, most of them are not. Their “religious convictions” might make them say the right things about family, gender, and national identity. But when it comes to Israel, they will spew horrific words and follow conspiracy theories that revive old blood libels against Jews. Their biblical discernment is literally nonexistent. Why? Because they don’t have the Holy Spirit. They aren’t saved. They’re simply just religious people. Remember, religion was never the answer. If anything, Jesus pointed at it as the problem. I remember sitting on a rooftop of a building adjacent to the Vatican in Rome and giving the message: “It’s Not About Religion, Brother!”. Neither Judaism nor Islam nor Catholicism nor Hinduism nor Buddhism can ever save anyone. You can’t be born into faith. You must be born again. Your first birth will never be enough!

Please try to understand: We are in a situation the Jews haven’t found themselves in since the 1930s and the 1940s of the 20th century. The silence of the world is incredibly loud! The amount of deception, ignorance, and hatred is very unfamiliar to young Israelis who were on their journey to becoming part of the global community. Suddenly, they were reminded what God, through Balaam, tried to tell us during the Exodus from Egypt:

כִּֽי־מֵרֹ֤אשׁ צֻרִים֙ אֶרְאֶ֔נּוּ וּמִגְּבָע֖וֹת אֲשׁוּרֶ֑נּוּ הֶן־עָם֙ לְבָדָ֣ד יִשְׁכֹּ֔ן וּבַגּוֹיִ֖ם לֹ֥א יִתְחַשָּֽׁב׃

Numbers 23:9
“For from the top of the rocks I see him,
And from the hills I behold him;
There! A people dwelling alone,
Not reckoning itself among the nations.”

Choose wisely who you associate yourself with. And, yes, check their stance on Israel. It will say an enormous amount about their spiritual state!

CONNECT
We recorded our very first podcast at CONNECT just days ago with my dear friends, Sarah & Steve Berger. If you didn’t get a chance to watch/listen to it, check it out HERE! We’re working through a broadcast schedule for the variety of different installments we’re planning to facilitate at CONNECT. So, make sure to stay tuned! I can’t wait to reveal what’s been in the making for so many months.

Premiere of the Week
So many religions have their secret teachings and hidden truths. In Christianity, however, all mysteries are revealed. In my teaching, "The Mystery of the Messiah", I will look at the most wonderful of these truths – God’s plan for the salvation of the world, both Jew and Gentile alike, through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, the Messiah. As members of His church, this revealed mystery should not have us looking to replace Israel, but instead seeking ways to bless them, including living such a vibrant relationship with the Lord that it provokes God’s Chosen People to jealousy. Tune in this Friday at 12:00 PM PDT on YouTube & Facebook.

October 7th Unfiltered
In the weeks ahead, I will air an unfiltered video of the October 7th events. The atrocities are very difficult to watch and so graphic that no social media platform will ever allow me to show this content. That is exactly what the deniers are banking on! In preparation, there are two ways you can help me: 1) Please send my telegram channel to everyone you know! 2) Please be there to watch and then forward the video! Here is a link to my telegram channel for you to share with others: https://t.me/beholdisraelchannel

Video Resources
Over the last couple of weeks, I released a series of short, informational videos covering a variety of topics related to the Bible, Israel, and current events. These videos are prefect for sharing with others to give them factual and spiritual food for thought. The latest video pertaining to Jerusalem can be found HERE.

My Latest Resource
Discovering Daniel is now available in the Behold Israel Shop! Moreover, the study guide that accompanies this bestseller is also available for order. I am so excited for this book to fall into the hands of believers and unbelievers alike. Understanding the Old Testament is the key to making sense of the New Testament. What Daniel foretells; Revelation fulfills. I believe you’ll find this new book to be a very helpful resource in your biblical studies.

Keep Looking Up!
I can’t thank you enough for coming alongside Behold Israel at such a paramount time in history. I’m encouraged to see how your faithful prayers and loving comments have increased since last October. Furthermore, I am so grateful for your generous financial support that helps enable the ministry to do what it does.

Friends, this is not our home. We were not destined for this earth. We dwell in the corruptible today, but we’re longing for the incorruptible. Yes, there is chaos here. Yes, we are living in the last hour of the last days. Knowing this, keep looking up! God is on the move and He desires to use you and me here and now.

1 John 3:2-3
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Oh, how I long for the day when we will be like Him because we will be with Him.

Awaiting His Return,

The Mystery of the Trinity

Mystery Of The Trinity

June 13

John 8:19 'Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.'

JOHN 8:12-27

The scriptures teach Jesus' oneness with the Father. This oneness is more than singleness of purpose and actually denotes 'a single one to the exclusion of others' as in the statement, 'There is one God' (1 Tim. 2:5).

This truth is so well established in scripture that some people make no distinction between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit but believe they are simply one God expressing Himself in three different ways. However, Jesus makes a distinction between Himself and His Father here and uses Himself and His Father as two different witnesses to fulfill the requirement of Deuteronomy 17:6. Jesus would have been deceiving these Jews if there was no distinction between His Father and Himself; and yet, they are one (Jn. 10:30; 1 Jn. 5:7). This is a great mystery and yet a very well established fact in scripture.

One of the great statements of the Old Testament from Deuteronomy 6:4 says, 'The Lord our God is one Lord.' We do not have three Gods, but one God, clearly identifiable as three persons. This is a great mystery, which has not been adequately explained. Scriptures reveal the truth of the Trinity, but make no attempt to explain it. We simply accept this revelation as it is, until we know all things, even as we are known (1 Cor. 13:12).

Jesus said that the witness of His Father was the greatest testimony of who He was. Everyone can hear His testimony of Jesus through the scriptures.

Moses and all the Old Testament prophets spoke of the coming of Jesus, and Peter said the written word of God was a more sure word of prophecy than the audible voice of God. Read the Word today. Andrew Womack

TIME AND CHANCE

I want you to know how you can have “time and chance” happen to you—where you find yourself blessed because you’re at the right place at the right time. Let me show you what the original Hebrew language reveals about how this can be your reality.

The Hebrew word for “time” is the word eth, meaning time or season. The Hebrew words for “chance happen” are pega qarah. Together with eth, they present a picture not of random occurrences, but “right happenings” that are dependent on the Lord’s orchestration.

It’s unfortunate that the word “chance” is used in the English translation. When you read “time and chance happen to them all,” it gives the impression of random happenings, occurrences that happen as if by “luck.”

But if you study the root of the word pega in the Scriptures, you’ll see it is from the word paga, which actually means to make intercession or pray. Let me introduce to you at this point a principle of Bible interpretation called the law of first mention. When you are studying a word, look at the first time it appears in the Bible. There is a lot of spiritual truth and significance in the first occurrence of the word in the Bible.

Applying this principle to the word paga, we see in the Bible that the first time it is used is in Genesis 23:8 (NIV), where it means “intercede.” The same word is also used in Isaiah 53:12 where it says the Lord “made intercession for the transgressors”.

The other Hebrew word, qarah, is often used in other parts of the Bible to explain God-ordained happenings. So “chance happen” should more accurately be translated as “prayed opportunities” or “prayed happenings.”

When you have eth and pega qarah combined here, it speaks of right-time, right-place happenings, or of being at the right place at the right time, doing the right thing as a result of prayer.

What an amazing blessing to possess, which is simply triggered by coming to our loving Father in heaven and expressing our dependence on His protection over us and our families. I want this blessing activated every day, don’t you?

Notes from Amir

When Israel will acknowledge Jesus as Messiah, that’s the Israel that will be saved. “I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem,” Zechariah 12, “the spirit of grace and supplication. Then they will look at Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only Son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.” There has to be – you see, the Tribulation, as hard as it’s going to be, is the only thing that will break the religious spirit of Israel. It is the only thing that will bring them to the point where the rabbis and their tradition are not going to save them.

That’s why the Bible says in Hosea, chapter five, verse 15, “I will return again to my place until they acknowledge their offense, and through their affliction, they will earnestly seek me.” So Israel will be judged. Yes, and the ones that will not choose the mark of the Beast, and the ones that will eventually run away from him rather than worship him, those are going to be kept in the desert for 1,260 days, as Revelation chapter 12 says, and that these are the ones that Jesus will bring back to Himself upon His second coming, and these are the ones that are going to receive Him, and then all Israel indeed will be saved.

Transformed by His Favor

The goodness of God leads you to repentance.Romans 2:4

TRANSFORMED BY GOD’S FAVOR

Let me share with you a testimony of a youth whose life has been wonderfully transformed by the unmerited favor of God. This young man smoked his first cigarette when he was only 9 years old. By the time he was 14, he was already a seasoned gangster, peddling as well as taking drugs, and selling pirated movies.

With the money earned, he would treat his gang members to fancy clothes or meals, and even cover transport expenses for them to congregate for gang fights! At 15, the law caught up with him and he was sent to a boys’ reformatory home where he realized that his life needed to be turned around. And that was when God came into the picture. He said:

The home was where I first encountered God, even though I did not know it was Him then. One of my counselors, a Christian lady, prayed for me and for the first time in my life, I felt that there was “someone” watching over me. I did not think much about it then, but that’s when my heart and my perspective on life began to change.

I started attending New Creation Church (NCC) in September 2005. A friend had invited me to NCC earlier, but I declined. However, one day I happened to oversleep on the train and missed my stop. The platform I got off on was completely deserted, but I noticed a plastic bag left on one of the benches. I looked at its contents to see if I could tell who it belonged to and realized that inside it were actually sermon CDs from NCC!

So even when I didn't want to attend NCC, God sent the church to me! It was no coincidence. It was God-directed! When I played the CDs at home out of curiosity, the presence of God was so real. I experienced such intimacy with God. As I listened to Pastor Prince’s teachings, I knew that this was the God I had always believed in, a God who loves me regardless of who I am or what I do!

Pastor Prince’s teachings have set me free and given me a supernatural strength and passion to do His work. I don’t feel any more bondage when it comes to communicating with God, knowing that He can lead me in every situation.

The most significant change I have experienced has been my inward transformation. I used to have a very bad temper, which got me into a lot of fights because I was easily provoked. Being conscious of His love for me has delivered me from that. I also went from failing in high school to doing well enough in the polytechnic to qualify for a place in a university.

This young man is now a confident, cheerful person with a bright future. He gives talks at schools and at the boys’ reformatory home that he was in to share his journey with the youths and to encourage them. His life has been so incredibly transformed that even a government agency has enlisted him to speak to troubled youths.

He says that ever since Jesus entered His life, he has seen the Lord's grace and favor superabound in his life. Many doors have opened for him and his life has really been enriched, with breakthroughs in areas such as his work, studies, family, and relationships. Let’s give Jesus all the glory!

That’s what our young people need—a revelation of Jesus’ perfect love for them! There is a lost and dying world out there.

My friend, the Ten Commandments cannot be the only thing that youths know about Christianity anymore! How can they help but think that Christianity is nothing but rules, laws, and regulations on what they should or should not be doing? How can they help but imagine God to be someone who is angry with them and looking for opportunities to punish them?

If the young people in your community are to come to Jesus, they will need to know that Christianity is an intimate relationship with a loving God. Once they know this, they will be banging down the doors of churches every Sunday to get in to hear Jesus and His grace preached!

Beloved, I pray that like the young man whose testimony you just read, you will continue to allow Jesus to show you more and more of His perfect love for you every day.

Mother of All Fears

Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.Hebrews 2:14–15

- JUNE 9 -
THE MOTHER OF ALL FEARS

My friend, in Christ you have been redeemed from all fears. You no longer need to live in fear of judgment, punishment, and condemnation from God for your sins. Because you are a believer in Jesus, the curse of the law and its ministry of death and condemnation no longer have a hold over you!

His Word victoriously proclaims that “Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified)” (Gal. 3:13 AMP). You have been redeemed!

Do you know what the mother of all fears is? Today’s scripture shows us that it is the fear of death. Why do believers come under the fear of death when they’ve been forgiven, justified, and redeemed?

It’s simple: when believers don’t believe that all their sins have been punished and forgiven through the death of Jesus Christ at the cross, their consciences are never at rest. As a result, the wages of sin, which is death, continues to oppress them and keep them under bondage.

But here’s the good news: God’s Word tells us that through His death, our Lord broke the power of death the devil had over us. Why did He do all this?

To “release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Clearly, our Lord Jesus wants us free from the fear of death and from any bondage.

Read Hebrews 2:15 again and you’ll see that the fear of death leads to other fears and bondages—“those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” People who fear death automatically fear falling sick, so they worry about their health all the time. Every little symptom causes them anxiety and keeps them running to doctors.

Many times the fear of death is the root of people’s fear of flying, driving, or simply going to the mall because they imagine the worst things happening to them. For some people, the fear of death is so severe that it interferes with their daily life. It consumes their thoughts and negatively affects the decisions they make.

If that’s you today, I encourage you to take the time to anchor yourself in the truth of Hebrews 2:14–15. Know beyond the shadow of any doubt that Jesus, through His death at the cross, has set you free from the fear of death, and with it every bondage you may be in right now.

Verse 15 shows us clearly that the moment the fear of death is removed from your heart, your bondage is removed. Your very susceptibility to being in bondage is removed. Hallelujah! Jesus died on the cross to set you free. The more you are established in this truth, the more you’ll experience the abundant life He came to give you.

Middle East Update

Shalom!

It was a beautiful site to see the streets of Jerusalem flooded with Israeli flags as we celebrated Jerusalem Day yesterday! This national holiday stems from the outcome of the Six-Day War of 1967 when Israel reunified the city of Jerusalem after defeating the militaries of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. At that time, we not only reunified Jerusalem, but we obtained control over the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, Judea & Samaria (the West Bank), and the Golan Heights! Despite the fact that so much has since changed – Our God performs miracles and His plans stand!

From young Israelis praying and dancing on the Temple Mount to waving their flags throughout the day, I’m once again reminded of the fact that God fulfills His promises. It brought tears to my eyes to see the beautiful sight of thousands of Israelis dancing at the Western Wall while singing aloud from a specific psalm:

Psalm 28:9
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.

From nearly being annihilated during the Holocaust to dwelling in the land of our forefathers – God’s decrees remain unhindered. Yes, we’re a nation facing political and geopolitical turmoil right now. Yes, we have both internal and external threats we’re dealing with. Yes, most of the nation remains in spiritual blindness – but that’s just it. Much like when God initiated His covenant with Abraham, when the Lord promised to bring His people back to the land through the prophet Ezekiel, it wasn’t contingent on our faithfulness or righteousness, but His holy name!

Ezekiel 36:22-24
“Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”

Yes, things are both physically and spiritually chaotic right now – not just in Israel, but all over the world – but I can’t tell you how much I look forward to the day when I witness what God promised next through Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 36:25-27
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

First came the physical restoration. Oh, how I await the spiritual restoration of my people.

Yes, we are destroying Hamas in Gaza! Yes, we are about to strike Hezbollah in Lebanon! Yes, terror will continue from the West Bank as well as from Syria, Iraq, Iran and Yemen. As an Israeli Jew who is a follower of the Messiah and a strong believer in the words of the prophets, I am often conflicted between the will to say what I feel about the current war and the need to stay calm and look at things from a biblical and much broader perspective.

According to the prophet Ezekiel, the coming big war is NOT against Iran and its proxies, but rather, against Iran and its allies. Iran will be joining a coalition led by Russia. This future major war will catch Israel feeling safe and secure, but with allies that won’t extend any help besides tough words of protest.

But God.

The Lord, the keeper of Israel, will intervene and help Israel in a very supernatural way. He will defeat the enemies of Israel on the mountains of Israel as the world will watch with great awe and astonishment!

Knowing this, tell me – On whose side do you prefer to be?

The Middle East

Hezbollah
As things with Hezbollah continue to escalate, the Iranian-funded terror proxy – the most powerful proxy in the region – launched three large missiles into Northern Israel on Friday, which ultimately hit their targets. Significant damage was caused to Israel’s Biranit Barracks, but no casualties were reported. On the flipside, the IDF is continuing to carry out targeted attacks on Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon – even ambulances that move weapons and terrorists. And we’re not just active in Lebanon, but Syria as well.

That said, the rockets keep coming from the other side of our northern border and our strikes continue in various parts of Lebanon. A hotspot for recent Hezbollah strikes in Israel is our northern town of Kiryat Shmona where we have some of our forces stationed. Hezbollah has also had success when it comes to shooting down Israeli drones operating in Lebanese airspace. Sadly, two casualties and several injuries occurred in the Israeli town of Hurfeish after a targeted drone and rocket attack took place at a playground. Furthermore, the month of May brought 325 attacks from Hezbollah, which is the highest number in one month since the beginning of our war with Hamas.

A new front has opened with Hezbollah in the form of wildfires. Throughout the northern region of Israel, various serious fires were started after Hezbollah launched rockets into open fields knowing the effects it would have given the current heat wave we’re facing. Significant regions of Northern Israel quickly became engulfed in flames. As of a few days ago, a state of emergency had been declared, yet little to no help was provided to the citizens affected by the fires for a significant amount of time. However, Lebanon is now dealing with some fires of their own. War of attrition – to slowly wear down your enemy mentally and physically through small-scale attacks – is the strategy of Hezbollah. This tactic and the results it’s yielded so far is what has led Israelis to demand action.

As I’ve reported several times over the last week, an official war with Hezbollah is imminent, as our security cabinet has met multiple times in the last week to address this very issue. Part of the decision-making process when it comes to starting a war is ensuring that you can catch your enemy off guard because the initial surprise attack is what will deliver the most damage, dismantling the enemy’s capabilities. So, there is a two-fold reason Israel hasn’t begun a war with our enemy to the north as of yet: 1) We’re allowing our brigades in Gaza to finish the job and 2) we’re preparing for the right time to strike. When the right time comes, Hezbollah is going to feel it. Hezbollah has actually stated that they’ve increased their attacks in anticipation of the looming war.

Something I’ve been thinking about lately: The stronger the attacks on Israel, the bigger the plans of God for us!

Hamas
The IDF continues to operate in the heart of Rafah. So far, our troops have discovered a minimum of 84 tunnels running from Rafah into the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. We’re continuing to investigate whether or not any live hostages or bodies of victims from October 7 were smuggled through these. Moreover, the IDF continues to carry out operations within the Philadelphi Corridor between Rafah and Egypt, including the destruction of terror tunnels. The IDF also continues to find bodies of victims from October 7 as it navigates through Rafah.

As for our troops in Jabalia, after eliminating approximately 500 terrorists in the area, the IDF’s 98th Division concluded the operation, has the left the Strip, and is preparing for where they’ll be sent next. We still have around 16,000 soldiers actively serving in Gaza.

While the world continues to scream, “genocide!”, the IDF was busy handing out leaflets in Northern Gaza urging civilians to leave the safe zone. Furthermore, before the attack that took place on Wednesday night in Lebanon, Israel sent an evacuation notice via text message to residents of the Wadi Jilou area.

The Houthis
The Houthis claimed to have conducted a combined missile attack against the American aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower in the Red Sea in response to the joint US strikes in Yemen. Days later, they made this same claim once again.

The International Community
Global hypocrisy never takes a break! After speaking out in favor of a Palestinian state, there are reports that the progressive, Pro-Palestinian, and antisemitic Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked government ministers to stop using the term "genocide" in the context of Gaza, fearing that Gazans would seek political asylum in Spain. What goes around comes around! Spain’s government – bless their heart – following their recognition of a Palestinian state last week, stated that they would open an embassy in Ramallah. However, they’re now shying away from that commitment because their diplomates prefer to stay in Israel because it’s “safer” and provides a “higher quality of life”. This is almost laughable.

Slovenia now officially recognizes a Palestinian state. Fools! Switzerland has rejected the recognition of a Palestinian state for the obvious reasons that every country should reject a Palestinian state – they don’t want Iran 2.0.

The United States
Adding insult to injury, the POTUS delivered a shameful speech last Friday in which he exposed the administration’s total lack of competency when it comes it Israel, Hamas, and our fight for survival as a nation. Biden laid out a peace plan for Gaza, where Israel retreats and Hamas continues to rule over Gaza indefinitely. As I stated previously, Israel’s government will collapse overnight if a deal like this should be embraced! Furthermore, the Israeli hostages are the only bargaining chips Hamas has. These terrorists are well aware that the minute all the hostages are released, Israel can complete the job and utterly destroy them! Ultimately, Biden’s plan puts all of the pressure on the Israeli government. When terrorists like Hamas support your plan, you know you have a terrible plan.

Thankfully, the recent statements from the Israeli government have made it very clear that Israel’s conditions for ending the war have not changed. Hamas will perish.

We recorded our very first podcast at CONNECT just days ago with my dear friends, Sarah & Steve Berger. I look forward to sharing it with you soon!

The Bible says, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way..." Who is the Restrainer? When will He be removed? Why does He restrain? How will He be removed? Tune in for my teaching, "The Restrainer," for insight into what the Bible says about the Restrainer in today's world and His role in the future. This will be aired on Friday at 12:00 PM PDT on YouTube & Facebook.

I am so excited for this book to fall into the hands of believers and unbelievers alike. Understanding the Old Testament is the key to making sense of the New Testament. What Daniel foretells; Revelation fulfills. I believe you’ll find this new book to be a very helpful resource in your biblical studies.

Don’t Grow Weary!

Over the past eight months I’ve had many “down” moments where I felt crushed and powerless in light of the massive spiritual blindness and brainwashing the prince of this world is doing to the gullible masses. The following verses kept my spirit afresh and strengthened my soul!

Galatians 6:7-10
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

Change the way you think

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.Romans 12:2 NLT

- JUNE 7 -
CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK

When you hear preaching declaring that you need to repent, is your first impression of repentance something that involves mourning and sorrow? If we are to repent, it is important that we know what the word “repent” means in the first place. It is the Greek word metanoeo, which simply means “to change one’s mind.” Repentance just means changing your mind.

This means that even if we do not use the word “repent” all the time on God’s people, every time they sit under anointed preaching of His Word, repentance is still occurring—their minds are being changed about their old beliefs that held them in bondage and receiving the truth that liberates them.

Even as you are reading this, repentance is going on. You are renewing your mind with the good news of Jesus. You are becoming more and more conscious of His finished work and your righteousness in Christ. When you begin to receive the revelation that you are no longer under the old covenant of law, but are now under the new covenant of grace, the Bible calls that repentance!

I want to share a praise report from Dave, who resides in Dallas. His story demonstrates how the truth liberates our minds from old beliefs that keep us in bondage and rob us of joy and victory in our lives:

For a long time, my wife and I believed that though we were saved by grace, it was through our own efforts that we could become the Christians we were called to be. We sat under a ministry that taught you had to walk out your Christian life by doing “good works,” so we both served in the children’s ministry, led Bible study, served the Holy Communion, tithed, and worked at vacation Bible schools during the summer months.

We did all this because we were taught that it would “please” God. The sad thing was that the more we tried to “please” God, the less we enjoyed serving Him. Eventually, it became so much like work that we all but stopped serving and became resigned to living a less-than-fulfilling Christian life.

Then, just over a year ago, we came across your television broadcast. We listened hungrily to what you shared and knew that this was the message and revelation that would change us as Christians.

Every night of the next month, my wife would read aloud excerpts from one of your teaching resources, and we would be amazed at the teachings, examples, and revelations that were in the book (and that would transform our lives). We would discuss them until late at night marveling at the revelation of God’s grace and love. The power of those revelations in the book began a process that is still continuing today.

For example, all the thoughts we had about what would please God were radically changed. No longer were we living under a cloud of condemnation because we didn’t read the Bible long enough, didn’t repent and pray enough, didn’t serve enough, or didn’t give enough to enjoy the blessings of God. Faith and love for the Lord just arose in our hearts when we discovered that it wasn’t about us at all, but about the finished work of Jesus on the cross, that it was His righteousness and His righteousness alone that qualified my wife and I for all the blessings of God.

Joy returned to our lives and our relationship with each other changed. No longer were we condemning each other, but loving each other as we experienced God loving us. It changed our relationship with Him and continues to impact our family to this day, as we continue to sit under the ministry of grace.

Moreover, the joy of serving has returned to us as it is now an outflow of what God has poured into us through His grace. We no longer see serving Him as being a “work” but an honor and privilege. We are so grateful to Him for leading us as a couple to feed on His love for us through the finished work of Jesus Christ!

Do you see that what you believe about God powerfully impacts your entire life? When you allow the truth of His love and grace to replace wrong beliefs about Him in your mind, you will find joy, fulfillment, and victory replacing defeat, exhaustion, and bondage in all areas of your life. Keep hearing and feeding on the word of His grace, and like Dave, see Him transform you, your family, and your ministry from glory to glory!

The right definition of righteousness

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.Galatians 2:21 KJV

- JUNE 6 -
THE RIGHT DEFINITION OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

What has a right understanding of your righteousness got to do with expecting good to happen to you today? Everything!

Many believers associate righteousness with a list of things that they have to do, and if they fulfill this list, they feel "righteous." Conversely, when they fail in terms of their behavior, they feel “unrighteous.” But this is the wrong definition and understanding of righteousness.

Let’s go back to what the Bible has to say. Look at 2 Corinthians 5:21: "For He [God] made Him [Jesus Christ] who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him [Jesus Christ].” We are not righteous because we do right. We became righteous because of what Jesus did for us at the cross.

“Righteousness,” therefore, is not based on our right doing. It is based entirely on Jesus’ right doing. Christianity is not about doing right to become righteous. It is all about believing right in Jesus to become righteous.

Do you realize that we have been conditioned to associate being blessed with doing right? Most belief systems are based on a system of merit whereby you need to fulfill certain requirements—give to the poor, do good to others and care for the underprivileged—to attain a certain state of righteousness. It all sounds very noble, self-sacrificial, and appealing to our flesh, which likes to feel that our good works have earned us our righteousness.

But God is not looking at your nobility, sacrifices, or good works to justify you. He is only interested in Jesus’ humility at the cross. He looks at His Son's perfect sacrifice at Calvary to justify you and make you righteous!

Attempting to be justified by your good works and trying your best to keep the Ten Commandments to become righteous is to negate the cross of Jesus Christ. It is as good as saying, “The cross is not enough to justify me. I need to depend on my good works to make myself clean and righteous before God.”

The apostle Paul said, “I do not frustrate the grace [unmerited favor] of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” My friend, consider carefully what Paul is saying here. He is effectively saying that if you are depending on your good works, your doing, and your ability to keep perfectly the Ten Commandments to become righteous, then Jesus died for nothing! That’s what “in vain” means—for nothing!

So don’t frustrate the grace of God by depending on your good works to make yourself righteous and put God on your side. Jesus' sacrifice is more than enough to justify you! And when you know that you are justified, you can be confident that the unmerited favor of God is on your side and expect good to happen to you today!

Peace

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.Romans 15:33

- JUNE 5 -
JEHOVAH SHALOM IS YOUR GOD

I’m sure you want the Lord to manifest Himself as the God of peace when you are fearful. So let’s go deeper into what the “God of peace” means.

Don’t forget that Paul was Jewish, so when he said “the God of peace be with you,” he was saying “Jehovah Shalom be with you.” “Jehovah Shalom” is Hebrew for “the God of peace.” Now, the first appearance of the name Jehovah Shalom is in the Old Testament story of Gideon in Judges 6.

As we read Gideon’s story, we discover that the Midianites terrorized Israel day and night, descending upon them like a swarm of marauding locusts and destroying their crops and pillaging their livestock. Fearful of their cruel enemies, the Israelites hid in dens and caves in the mountains.

It is no wonder Gideon was petrified and hid himself at the bottom of an abandoned winepress to thresh the measly stalks of dry grain he had somehow managed to scavenge. He was bound by fear and overcome by all the news of terror that surrounded him.

In the midst of Gideon’s fear, “the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, ‘The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!’” (Judg. 6:12).

When you find the expression “the Angel of the LORD” in the Old Testament, it usually refers to our Lord Jesus in His preincarnate state. Jesus Himself appeared to Gideon when he was in the pit of fear and called him a mighty man of valor. Isn’t that amazing?

Are there moments when you feel besieged by fear? When you hear reports of terror or exposure to some virus, do you feel fearful and anxious? Has fear driven you into hiding? The truth is, regardless of how you feel, when our Lord Jesus looks at you right now, He sees you as a mighty man or mighty woman of courage.

Isn’t it amazing how our Lord looks at us? It’s not how we see ourselves that defines us; it is how our Lord Jesus sees us that defines us. That’s why we read His Word. We read it to discover what His Word says about us. My friend, no matter what state you are in right now and how messed up your life might be, the Lord Jesus sees the best in you.

He sees your potential, your gifting, your call, and your destiny to do great things in this life! And as the ending of Gideon’s story shows, He will guide you and cause you to be a testimony of His protection as you trust in Him and see yourself and your situations through His eyes.

Hope

“O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?”2 Chronicles 20:6

HAVING TRUE BIBLE HOPE

In 2 Chronicles 20:3–4, we see that when faced with what appeared to be certain destruction, King Jehoshaphat set himself to seek the Lord. Today’s scripture is part of his prayer.

Note that instead of rehashing his fears to the Lord and lamenting about how overpowered by their enemies their small tribe was, Jehoshaphat centered his prayer and thoughts on just how big and powerful his God truly is. He proclaimed boldly that “no one is able to withstand” the Lord—no one! In a hopeless situation, he hoped in the Lord.

I call that Bible hope! Hope is a beautiful word in the Bible. Hope in the New Testament is the Greek word elpis, which is defined as a “favorable and confident expectation” or “the happy anticipation of good.” This means that when you hope in the Lord, there is a joy in your countenance (simply put, a smile on your face). There is a confident assurance in your heart that, bleak as the circumstances appear to be, it’s not over yet.

Unfortunately, the word “hope” as used in our modern vernacular is completely different and sometimes even antithetical to the way the Bible defines it. When we say things such as, “I hope that I will get the job,” our use of the word connotes uncertainty, doubt, and ambivalence.

The Word of God declares that “this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us” (Rom. 5:5 NLT). We can have true hope—a certain, joyful, confident expectation of good—when we rightly believe how dearly God loves us! There is a direct and proportionate correlation between hope and rightly believing in God’s love for you. Hope springs in your heart when you believe that God loves you.

No matter how adverse your circumstances may seem today, put your trust in the Lord. Believe that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf, and that He is turning the situation around for your good (Rom. 8:28). All His abundant heavenly resources, His power, His healing, His restoration, His deliverance, His provision, His favor, His help, His comfort, and His love are with you and on your side, waiting to be unleashed upon you. The Lord your God will open up the windows of heaven over your life and pour out for you such a blessing that there won’t be room enough to receive it!

When our entire hope and trust is in Him, we can count on His promises toward us. This hope never disappoints, which means that your greatest victories are ahead of you.

Abundant Grace

Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.Romans 5:20

- JUNE 2 -
THE SUPERABUNDANCE OF GOD’S GRACE

In the Book of Romans, the apostle Paul said, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?” (Rom. 6:1). Obviously, Paul was preaching the grace of God so radically that he was misunderstood and accused of telling people to sin more so that grace may abound. Of course, that was not the case.

Paul never said, “Let us sin more so that grace may abound” (and by the way, neither have I). Sin is evil, and it leads to destructive consequences. But have you noticed in today’s scripture what it is that actually causes sin to increase?

Read today’s scripture again. Paul states very clearly that the law entered so that sin might abound. What this means is that the more you preach the law, the more sin will abound. After all, the strength of sin is the law (1 Cor. 15:56). Therefore, when you see sin and you preach more of the law, you are adding wood to fire!

In saying that “where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,” Paul meant this: sin does not stop God’s grace from flowing, but God’s grace will stop sin. Ask yourself which is greater, your sins or God’s grace? The answer is obvious. God’s grace is always greater!

In fact, when you read “where sin abounded, grace abounded much more” in the original Greek, it actually says that where sin abounded, grace superabounded. Greek scholar Kenneth Wuest captures this well in his translation of the verse: “where sin increased, grace superabounded, and then some on top of that.” How cool is that!

What Paul is saying is that where there is sin, where there is “a failing to hit the mark” (definition of “sin” by Thayer’s Greek Lexicon), that’s exactly where you will find God’s grace—His unmerited favor for your empowerment and victory—in superabounding measure. Isn’t that amazing?

Contrary to traditional thinking, God’s grace does not abandon you when you miss the mark. What a comfort and source of strength it is to know that His grace doesn’t leave us, but is right in the midst of our painful weaknesses, failings, and less-than-perfect situations to empower us to reign over them all!

My friend, maybe you have been struggling with a certain weakness or failing in some area of your life. It could be anger, unforgiveness, or an addiction that you can’t seem to kick. I encourage you to increase your exposure to God’s grace. Keep hearing preaching on the beauty of the person of Jesus and His finished work. Keep meditating on His love and what He has accomplished for you on the cross because grace is the only power that can stop sin in its tracks in your life.

When you fail, instead of feeling guilty and condemned, receive the superabounding grace of God that tells you that you are still righteous in Christ. It is His superabounding grace that will rescue you from that sin. Those who wallow in guilt and condemnation are the ones who have no ability to overcome their sins. Since they believe that God’s grace has departed, what hope can they have? Victory over sin comes only when people encounter the superabundance of God’s grace. It is His grace that has made sinners righteous!

Don’t miss out on this powerful revelation. This is the gospel of Jesus! Because all your sins have been punished in the body of your substitute, Jesus Christ, God’s righteousness is on your side, demanding your justification and forgiveness. That’s why, even when you fail, God’s grace will superabound and swallow up your failure that has been paid for at Calvary. Hallelujah!

He Can Make a Way

And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”Exodus 14:13–14

- JUNE 1 -
HE CAN MAKE A WAY

I may not understand fully the circumstances you are going through today or the depths of your despair as you watch your loved one fighting to stay alive. But what I do know is this: God loves you more than you can ever comprehend, and He can make a way even when there seems to be no way.

Exodus 14 records how the children of Israel thought they were doomed when the mighty Egyptian army closed in on them. It appeared they would either be slaughtered by the Egyptians or perish in the watery grave of the Red Sea. But read what Moses said to them in the verses above. Then God split open the sea, and the children of Israel “walked on dry land in the midst of the sea” (Ex. 14:29).

But God didn’t stop there. He caused the sea to return to its full depth while Pharaoh’s formidable forces were still in pursuit, and I love how the Bible spells this out: “Not so much as one of them remained” (Ex. 14:28).

Beloved, you or your loved one might be faced with a daunting and seemingly impossible medical situation. All your fretting and tears cannot change your situation, but there is One who can. Do not be afraid.

Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. He will fight for you. He will overcome your enemies for you. Don’t keep asking why you have the disease. Don’t accept the disease or believe the lie that you deserve to be sick because of the wrong you have done. The Lord Jesus has already paid the price for your wholeness. Just put your hand in His and let Him lead you through your situation.

He will cause you to walk on dry land in the midst of the sea. The negative reports, medical statistics, and symptoms that you see may spell an inescapable situation, but He will make a way that will stun everyone around you. The Red Sea you thought would drown you will become the burial ground for your enemies instead. You might see them today, but you shall see those oppressive symptoms no more forever!

I see your migraine headaches gone. The inflammation in your joints gone. The paralyzing fatigue gone. The negative report about your unborn baby gone. The blood in your urine gone. Not so much as one of them will remain!

Notes from Amir

Shalom from Eilat in Southern Israel –

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – My region of the world never takes a holiday. And it hasn’t been “business as usual” in the Middle East. Things are continuing to escalate. Egypt exchanged fire with the IDF. The IDF has made its way into the heart of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. The Hague revealed its true colors. Europe is recognizing a Palestinian state. What’s next?

While I may not know what tomorrow holds, I remain certain concerning who holds tomorrow.

Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.

Despite the darkness of the times we’re living in, I’m encouraged to see the great number of Christians around the world who are steadfast in their support for Israel. From small groups to churches to different ministries, I’ve received countless pictures of believers standing for Israel. Why does it matter? Because it reveals to me that there is a remnant of believers in these last days holding fast to the promises of God from ages ago.

As I begin to dive into the details of several different current events, I want to remind you that the best way to stay up to date regarding world events – especially those impacting Israel – is to subscribe to my Telegram Channel. This is the one-stop shop for my real-time news updates as they unfold in Israel, the Middle East, and throughout the world.

The Middle East

Israel & Hamas
As I mentioned previously, the IDF has made its way into the heart of Rafah – the last major Hamas stronghold in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Tragically, more bodies of Israelis who were killed on October 7 and taken to Gaza continue to be recovered in this city. Being the cowards they are, Hamas leaders are content to dwell in their tunnels presenting the façade that hostages are alive in order to leverage some sort of deal with Israel. Of course, when their strategy fails, they blame Israel for their deaths.

Like the rest of Gaza, the true city of Rafah is based in its hundreds if not thousands of terror tunnels under the city, which the IDF is progressively destroying. Of course, the military is also terminating weapon-storage facilities, rocket-production sites, and more along the way. It’s time for us to put an end to Hamas!

Speaking of Rafah, are you aware that Israel accomplished the safe removal of civilians from the city in a matter of weeks when the Biden Administration said it would take months? While the Biden Administration is screaming, “But the civilians in Rafah…!”, we find rockets and other weapons everywhere we go. It’s safe to say that the opinion of the White House is not held in high esteem these days.

As you probably know by now, the Hague condemned Israel last week for what we’re doing in Rafah. At the end of the day, this is meaningless. Israel will do what we need to do to survive and prevent future terrorist attacks. However, consider the darkness of the hour in which we live, as an international court condemns Israel for protecting its people, ultimately sympathizing with Hamas and terrorism in general! And yes, Hamas praised the decision! Oh, and by the way, yes, Hamas is continuing to kill the people of Gaza. And in case you’re still on the fence concerning UNRWA, it was in the tunnels inside of buildings constructed by UNRWA that the mutilated body of the German-Israeli woman, Shani Louk, was found. UNRWA is corrupt to the core!

As of Wednesday, the IDF obtained full operational control of the Philadelphi Corridor near Rafah. This is extremely significant because Hamas is now completely cut off from all sides. There is no way of escape. There are no incoming resources. As one source put it – This is the beginning of the end of Hamas.

On another note, while tourism in Israel – a very large source of income – continues to be hammered by the ongoing war in the region and threats from the BDS movement, a unique business located next to the Dead Sea is in need of your support. The people at Kedma & Revival Products are friends of mine. All of our tours visit this well-known shop that is popular due to the variety of mineral-based cosmetics it offers – Minerals sourced from the Dead Sea. Please consider supporting them during this difficult time. The provided link includes a special discount at checkout.

Egypt
In the wake of the deteriorating relations between Israel and Egypt, a very unusual incident occurred between the IDF and the Egyptian army in the Rafah crossing area. Israel is conducting an investigation into the details of the incident, which may have significant political consequences. Basically, Egyptian soldiers opened fire on IDF forces. Ultimately, one Egyptian soldier was killed. I encourage you to watch my breaking news segment regarding this incident!

Lebanon, Syria, & Hezbollah
Israel is continuing to conduct targeted attacks in Lebanon as Hezbollah’s presence thrives in the region. Northern Israel has experienced a host of air raid sirens due to more barrages of rockets being fired from Lebanon over the last week. Sadly, the terrorists successfully caused some damage to homes in the Galilee region. However, it’s almost a daily occurrence that we’re killing Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon.

Our targeted attacks are not isolated to Lebanon, as they’re happening throughout Syria as well. Last night, Israel carried out a dramatic and remote bombing in the Alawite city of Banias on the Syrian coast (north of Tartus near the Russian base in Khmeimim Air Base). Hezbollah trucks were bombed and there are casualties. Make no mistake, while Gaza is the largest terror base on the face of the earth, the largest war is yet to come – and it will be with Hezbollah.
